2015 call for applications now closed

Amidst growing uncertainty and crisis in Europe, the 2016 call for proposals for the Advocate Europe ideas challenge has officially ended. This year, 668 ideas were submitted by applicants from 40 countries. Instead of returning to national-level solutions, groups and initiatives from across the continent presented diverse ideas for our common European future in fields such as urban change, arts and culture, advocacy and social innovation. Thank you to everyone who submitted proposals and joined the discussions! Let’s keep on changing Europe together: a Europe defined by possibilities, not by limits.

Here are the next steps in the Advocate Europe ideas challenge: Until March 17, 2016 (12.00 CET) all 46.882 registered users on our online platform can vote for their favourite project ideas. The three ideas with the most user votes will receive Community Awards* worth €5,000 (first place), €3,000 (second place) and €2,000 (third place).

A shortlist of up to 50 ideas will be published here in April 2016. From this shortlist our expert jury will select up to 12 winners who will each receive up to €50,000 to realise their ideas and initiatives. Winners will be published on our website at the end of June 2016. Funding from Advocate Europe is aimed at strengthening changemakers and supporting those who effect positive transformation in our societies.
