It is a mixture of contemporary dance, folklore, and poetry.
Ukraine can share the experience hosting and involving displaced people into local communities.
Refugees and displaced persons are one of the greatest challenges for European democracy. At the same time, it affects the development of new European values, like participation. Europe has to motivate, estimate and emphasize this kind of contribution.
We work for better understanding of how migrants could be involved in the promotion of European democracy and formation of common values.
We are creating special versions of the same performance under the title The Sand.Coming Home: include new poetry talking about the experience of refugees and displaced persons, as well as local and moved folklore; record the stories of refugees and use the obtained audio and video materials in our next versions of the performance The Sand.Coming Home. We will bring these versions to communities to promote a discussion about common values and will make them mobile through visiting performances.
