Trajna design collective
Plan is to launch a pilot template in the online sphere, locally activating a constellation of a few partnering organizations, creating deeper insight into decision making on sustainability.
How to explore people’s motives in decision-making for collective well-being in large communities (Dunbar number)? Lets use Facebook, a thriving medium in a campaign, inviting people to post recent leaps in habits, tagging values and receiving likes, with a web UI and browser extension bringing data back to enhance profiles. Real efforts linked with values, validated by known circles of people become a new ethical currency, representing good doers to unknown people, as anchors for a fair shift.
Deep insight into good will is the leap forward with current online tools – taking efforts of the unpaid workers to the next level requires a well-thought-out process, which addresses both emerging technological advances (decentralization and truth-keeping) and constellations of decision-making.
In a short period a pilot project exposing interpersonal values will have emerged a clue on where to continue building links among trust, reputation and resources across online communities. Trust anchors among the active will have received attention, with their actions to a sustainable future.
Project will require a website in English and Slovene languages, engaging communities in Slovenia at relevant events. We will be asking people to post about their most valuable »leap« of #GoodWill, to new & better habits, along with tagged #SustainableValues (multiple). A web application will have the ability to connect to Facebook, to post, store and further manage related data. A browser extension will display this data back on Facebook profiles, displaying values above users’ profile picture.
Sometimes we feel trapped online, having spent a lot of time there. It is as if parts of our personalities were locked in servers, yet to find a way to become a real persona. To coexist sustainably, people of good will cleverly buy food without packaging, in part become vegan, while some volunteer.
