Idea Sketch

Idea pitch

Feminism has become a headlining topic. We can see it in the mainstream media with campaigns such as #Metoo or Times up, with high profile women from the film and television industries standing against sexual harassment. If we hear those women’s voices now it is because there is a strong and diverse movement behind them. Let hear those voices too, let them advocate for Democracy.

Where will your idea take place?

Barcelona, Spain. Tiblisi, Georgia. Sofia, Bulgaria. Kiev, Ukarinia.

Why does Europe need your idea?

We will put together women and girls leaders that are dealing with the main problems in Europe: refugee & IDP situation, gender violence, economic crisis, far right uprising. The project will specifically address the underepresentation of girls and women in decision making process.

What is your impact?

A videoclip with women voices, translated into different lenguages, about the importance of hearing women proposal and support grassroot women's organizations to strenghthen European Democracy and values.

How do you get there?

We will engage in the project the most innovative initiatives in Europe and EU neighbouhood countries that are lead by women from different background and sectors. New municipalism, social economy and cooperative, refugee labs, interational campaings, migrant women's organizations, to discuss key messages to share with diference audiences.
One of them will be European Philanthropy sector, where Women's fund in Europe are a strong member, and have a key rol as influencer.

What is your story?

When backlash against women’s rights is being vocalised as never before, when women’s voices are being amplified globally and change is being demanded. It is our responsibility as European women to ensure that we spread the voices of women from all walks of life in Europe are heard.

Who are you doing it for?

We look to learn from women’s practical work in improving Europe living conditions and creating an open and just society, and to connect and support them in engaging with other social leaders, politicians and influencers.

What do you need from the Advocate Europe community?

Advice on methodologies to co-create messages, and suggestion on how to improve our communication.
