Polish Confederation Lewiatan (Youth Forum)
The Future of the Youth. A cooperation project between youth organizations from Germany, Poland, Russia and Ukraine.
Europe needs to solve the problem of youth unemployment. The idea spurs youth itself into action of fight for their future. Leaders of the involved organizations will launch a self-propelling structure facilitating contact of future employees with potential employers. It is an innovative project- it engages the representatives from the regions affected with unemployment and therefore gives bigger chances for success than the traditional, government-initiated projects. What needs understanding is that good regional policy can be achieved only with close cooperation from the regions- the project will be easily transferred to the other countries, as it is from the very beginning multinational.
The project aims at opening cooperation between representatives of youth organizations from Germany, Poland, Russia and Ukraine. The dialogue between them shall make the ground for cooperation above political divisions. In order to issue recommendations on the labor market and entrepreneurship solutions, we need to discuss stereotypes and differences, drawing from the great potential of things that we have in common. In the long-term perspective the project will motivate young people to promote the idea of international cooperation.
The only way to reverse this trend is “reinventing” Europe. We need to decide on the role we wish to play in the new global order, to identify our interests and obligations, and to balance our aspirations with the actual possibilities of realising them.
The project needs few steps to be taken before it being completely finished. Firstly, we want to set a relationship with young leaders from other countries (Germany, Ukraine, Russia) who will launch a process of integration of youth from this part of Europe. Chosen representatives will meet to discuss and create joint space for initiative during a study visit in the European Parliament in June.
The initiative (international project) will meet on the subject of the pressing problem of youth unemployment in European Union and the neighborhood countries as Ukraine and Russia, especially in those politically tough and unstable times. Next meeting of motivated leaders will take place on EFNI conference in Poland (30 September - 2 October).
