In our website political decision makers open their projects to debate with their electorate. Citizens and organizations can make proposals to improve them. Finally, elected officials support the best proposals. In Kuorum.org accountable commitments turn into victories for the whole community.
The eurozone debt crisis has raised new challenges to the perceived democratic legitimacy of the institutions and policy-making processes of the EU (David R. Cameron, 2014). And the problem is specially critical when it comes to youth participation in the democratic life. It is not in vain that the fifth indent of Article 165(2) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the EU (TFEU) sets the aim of "encouraging the participation of young people in democratic life in Europe".
Improving communication between policy makers and the citizenry through digital and mobile technologies will help to foster a sense of citizenship and make policy processes more transparent and accountable towards electors.
Politicians around the globe involve the citizenry in the decision making processes at local, regional, national and supranational level. We aim to the preferred tool of 10% of the Spanish elected officials (~7000 politicians)and 1M users only in Spain in 5 years . Additionally, by next year we will begin operations in the US, and other European and Latin American countries.
- Financial plan: We are looking for private or public investment to cover product development, HR and marketing costs. Our activity will be sustainible by charging politicians for their accounts in the platform.
- Communication plan: The implementation of the communication plan in Spain and Europe involves PR and offline events, like training sessions for young people in risk of exclusion or adults with low digital literacy.
- Sales and HR plan: We will consolidate our team by hiring social science and sales profiles. Offering a quality service to users and clients will be essential for our growth.
- Collaboration plan: We will continue to cooperate with European universities and NGO's to leverage growth and profit from sinergies.
