In Armenia everybody knows what Europe is and what problems it has. We see the main news, know what measures are taken in this or that problematic situation and what solutions are made. Armenia is an ancient country, but unfortunately very few people in Europe and all over the world besides the post Soviet Union countries know who we are, what we need, how we can be assisted and what we are capable for in general. This project will help us make Europe more acquainted with our history and culture, how we live, what we need and how we can overcome challenges and issues in our society. Moreover, we can change information with each other and make the overcoming of the same problems easier and cooperative through education, culture, social innovations and advocacy.
As our NGO is multidiscipline (education and information, health, human rights and gender equality, advocacy) we decided to use all of these aspects and put it all together in culture. That is, achieve the goal by implementing all possible aspects to make people interested in the activity and participate in most of the endeavors. By organizing different cultural and public events people will be part of it and they will learn the things they did not know before. It will change their treatment to minorities and vulnerable groups, whom the society perceives like enemies. They will already be aware that everybody is equal, there should not be any harassment and violence and what is the most important – we are all members of the same society.
1. Survey among vulnerable groups and minorities to know their needs and problems they have. 2. Organize interactive small performances either in theatres or in the streets, where people walk around and can be participants. 3. Shoot short social films, in this way the entire concept can be transmitted to people more effectively and it is more imposing. Thematic exhibitions will be organized, both in the streets and inside. All this will take place with the participation of the community members, walkers around and individuals out of the community. 4. Focus group and flesh mobs actions. 5. During the project conduct surveys to follow the changes and the impact of our activities on the society.
