Happy Dance Studio
We are going to start a movement that highlights the cultural diversity eurozone countries offer. 19 cultures, one value, one union - performed in a shadow dance theatre show that explores the other side of euro.

Studies show that the feel towards euro and money in general is not entirely positive. Thus we want to expand and share the idea that euro is also a piece of eurozone countries' heritage.
We believe that there is no better way to present these values than in a language understandable to everyone. We chose a unique way of communication - shadow dance theatre, a language which has no loss in translation and offers endless possibilities of expression.
Hence we are convinced that realizing our project will not only improve the overall attitude toward euro but also enhance and emphasize the significance of cultural diversity and its necessity and value in coexistence in Europe.
The aim is to make a positive difference in the society we live in, and we want to start with Europe. The successful outcome would be a movement that inspires people to get to know more about other countries’ culture and values. This movement would connect diverse nations and cultures who share one currency - euro. Our method of achieving this aim is shadow dance theatre - a performance genre interpretable and amusing both for kids and adults, in the language of dance, which everybody (the Brits, Germans, French and others) equally understands.
To make this difference we will create a live shadow dance theatre show and workshop that we will bring to 5 European countries in summer 2016. However, the show will also be available to everyone digitally.
Jun–Aug'15: To improve our show we consult with other producers and multimedia specialists in Latvia. To prepare the show for Europe we will get international experience and contacts in the international art festival Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Sept'15–Jun'16: creating the art show (choreography, multimedia effects, stage design, thorough research of the euro symbols, costume design), informing public about project activities. Jul'16: Tour of the show and workshop in 5 EU countries. Aug'16–future: If “The values of EURO. Tales in your pocket.” is beloved by the audiences, we will continue the tour to other countries.
