School Raising aims is to bring a public and transparent endorsement into the schools project and to introduce a new methodologies and tools for students, professors, citizens and companies to build the school of today.
Italy, Berlin, Germany, Paris, France
School Raising wants to have a triple impact:
-a European community of enablers (School Raisers) in the field of Education and with an impact on a local scale,
-a responsive partner for all the associations and social enterprises working with schools in Europe,
-a common platform in which European schools can upload their project looking for funding and they can also be inspired by project gathered from others schools in different country. School Raising aims to become a platform which support the contamination between schools from different countries.
We are looking for the budget to develop our first crowdfunding European tour, bringing our workshop “Crowdfunding schools” in as many schools as possible. This tour aims to:
-spread the benefits of crowdfunding applied to schools in the countries (like Italy) where crowdfunding is still not so popular,
-give analogical tools to co-design crowdfunding campaigns that are making impact inside and outside of the schools,
-gather local communities of School Raisers able to replicate the workshop in other schools.
This tour will start from Italy where School Raising is quite well known, to move in 10 more cities around Europe where we already have contacts and local partenerships (Paris, Berlin, Ljubljana, Belgrade, etc).
During first 15 months we have collected around 20.000€ funding 14 projects and involving 500 between citizens and companies.
We know schools often have creativity and intelligence but not the right tools to design a crowdfunding project. We planned a six months tour starting from September 2015 until January 2016, bringing our workshop in at least 90 schools from the north to the south of Italy, plus 10 in 10 other European cities. At the same time we want to enable 100 people (School Raisers) who will be able to replicate the workshop in other schools.
Thanks to our connections with the ministry of education and other partners working with schools (in Italy and abroad), we’re able to select schools and School Raisers to better setup the tour.
