Graphic novel about Soviet Sanatorium, that will be realized also as a computer game, cartoon or an app. The project is aimed to european audience to invite readers into soviet history, soviet aesthetic and new russian reality. It can build the bridge between Russia and Europe in the cultural way.
Moscow, Russia, Россия
Because of the way Russia looks now in the political arena, I want to open the eyes of Europe, that the leaders of our country are still preserved in the Soviet era. In contrast to the growing class of new intelligent people who want to see changes in policy. But there's a great difference between 'us' and 'them'. So all that remains, is to build a new art, making new thread to tell the world that under the cap-misted dome of Russia beats the living present, a strong art, grow thousands of talanted people and ideas. My idea can easily be transformed into other languages and other forms of being, bringing people together.
I can see that because of my project there will be new doings aimed at the study of the culture of Russia in Europe. The topic that I raise in my graphic novel never brought up for discussion in the secular world. I want to open some layers of Russian history, literature, music, unknown to the general European viewers and readers. Responses in the project in Europe will entail backlash in Russia, on the ground that can be created festivals, events, documentary films dedicated to the exchange of cross-culture and art of the past and present. People of completely different ages will be able to meet with an unusual era in the life of the vast country in the form of the game.
In September 2015 I plan to finish the graphic part of my project (35 art pages).
To this moment I will find the publishing house, that can help me bring the book to life (on both languages - english and russian, for the first time).
Then, I'll send the proposal of the project and pdf of my book to different game companies, in Russia and in Europe.
I hope also to find the investor to make the site of the comics and make it popular.
These are the first steps of my project.
