Idea pitch

Northeastern Albania is rich in natural resources but
lacks the ability to manage this advantage. How can we use the example of the Ruhr development in this sector and to train the workforce to implement this kind of development.

Where will your idea take place?

Why does Europe need your idea?

Albania its an aspiring country to be part of EU. As such, Europe needs to give to this country's their experience, and have part of them country's developing in the right direction, and have sustainable development. As such, Albania need Europe, as Europe need an Albania developing with European values and standards.

What is your impact?

The successful outcome would be a professional staff trained in Germany by experts in field, reaching to create a pilot project for the development of this area. and giving the example in all similar areas which have many difficulties.

How do you get there?

In the first phase of this project will be the training of Albanian staff in Germany. Then Albanian specialist in the field together with German specialists will develop a plan of the area under the successful model of Ruhr. Three main pillars of this plan will be economic development, environmental preservation and social cohesion. In the second phase will be to inform the public on their rights and the opportunity to be engaged to influence the development of the area. A special emphasis will be respect for human rights and labor force, which are critical issues in this area.
