Europe must strengthen policies supporting the socio-economic system that women need to be successful and powerful economic actors, and by extension spurring economic growth. It is especially important to encourage the interest and possibilities of woman that because of different reason that haven’t been able to try stand in their own feet by creating a social-economic form attached with the European perspectives for Albania regarding the woman in this country. The project for restoring social inclusion of underprivileged women in the city of Saranda is the coherent mirror view of other small citys inside and outside Europe that are facing the same issues in this particular sector of woman empowerment.
In one year from the beginning of the project the main service offered through this project is training, practice and advocacy for the employment of 30–35 marginalized women. The areas of training are two: rtisan development and hotel maintenance. These programs will increase the local capacities in artisan and touristic activities, matching the fast growing touristic market of Butrint UNESCO ancient city.It is expected than 5–7 small and large businesses in the historic part of Saranda will benefit from the new local capacities offered through the support of the project.Saranda has a great tourist potential: it is known that tourism is a great industry when it comes to the job numbers it generates.
The project will last 12 Months starting from September 2015.
