The project aims to bring a group of young social change makers from different countries together and cycle down the Rhine from the offspring till the sea. While doing this, raising awareness about sustainable lifestyles and being empowered to make a positive difference in their communities.

Europes multiple crises call for another approach. We need to move towards a connected and sustainable society. To achieve this, we need new visions. At the same time, we need to understand the current reality we live in and take bold actions to achieve the vision. Therefore it will be helpful to learn new approaches. For example the indian Jugaad. This project speaks to a small part of the challenges: renaturation of rivers, healthy and sustainable lifestyles. These small parts enable us to understand the bigger picture: how do we humans live in balance with ourselves, the people around us and nature of which we are a part. This awareness is especially needed in Europe.
We would like to raise awareness about a sustainable lifestyle and healthy living together with our natural surrounding. More importantly, we would like to empower and engage young people to make a positive difference in their communities. By exchanging knowledge, sharing an adventure with challenges to overcome, the participating social entrepreneurs will gain powerful personal development opportunities that will strengthen their work. At the same time, the people in the different communities down the rhine will also be involved in the exchange. In this way, there is a natural multiplier effect. To make sure this happens, we will actively involve traditional as well as new media. In the ideal case, people will tell in years that this project has been a life changing experience.
