Idea pitch

Support us to bring back young scientist to
Ukraine!

Where will your idea take place?

Ukraine (Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Lutzk, Kherson, Poltava, Kharkiv, Odessa, Uzhhorod)

Why does Europe need your idea?

Our project tackles the inequalities of educational opportunities, the issue of “brain drain” and builds a bridge between Ukrainian universities and Western European universities. Our mission is to support the
cohesion of Europe and integration between its
peoples. Regrettably, inequalities of opportunities in the sphere of education still exist on the European continent. In this regard, Ukraine and its provincial universities face notable challenges.

What is your impact?

Enable young talented scholars who have left Ukraine to return back home with gained experience. Together with local students they will look at the problem of "brain-drain". The project will also familiarize Ukrainian students with the Western Education system, European Integration and develop interpersonal, project management and leadership skills while addressing educational problems of their local community.

How do you get there?

Young scientists (eight people) are invited three times during a semester to one university (out of eight
different universities) to conduct educational workshops. The task of young scientist during this time is to use the resources of their students. Together with them they prepare a final presentation and concepts to tackle the
issue of "brain drain". As part of this project, EuropCity conducts scientific research on "what factors motivate Ukrainians to return to their country and contribute to its
development?"

Project participants (young Ukrainian scientists) who once left the Ukraine and gained additional education and professional practice abroad and are willing to share their knowledge in the form of a workshop three
