The DO School empowers talented individuals to learn how to turn their ideas into tangible action and thereby create innovation and measurable impact. Tacking the various challenges the EU currently faces into account, we will run two one month DO Camps (one week on site, 3 weeks online), one in Germany, one in Greece. Each DO Camp will bring together 20 talented social entrepreneurs, teach them skills and empower them to launch the ventures tackling a specific challenge the EU is facing.
The EU is at a crossroads. Next to patient political action we need more young effective social entrepreneurs that connect across borders and that create social innovation around the tough challenges the EU is facing. The DO Camp is an excellent DO School program that empowers young talents in a short amount of time to start making their impact ventures a reality. The program thus empowers talented EU citizens to create meaningful change.
To create 40 change makers and multipliers that set up sustainable social ventures that tackle and solve important issues and that can do so over a period of time. Achieving this goal will make sure that the goals Advocate Europe and the DO School propagate will be carried out into the EU by young change makers that become role models in their respective communities.
The DO Camp is a tested and iterated program based on the DO School method. In a relatively short time, the participants gain a EU wide network, push the quality of their venture forward and kickstart their implementation thereby turning their idea into reality.
Our target group are young (in our experience around 20-35) aspiring social entrepreneurs that see a real need and have a good idea that they want to turn into reality. The DO Camp empowers these young European social entrepreneurs to get started.
What is unique about the project is that we use the tested and proven DO School programs and method and apply it onto the topic of empowering young social entrepreneurs that tackle EU challenges. Creating a content focus on solutions to tough EU wide problems thus builds upon the existing the quality of the DO School applying it to a new context. The result will be 40 concrete ventures and a wider community of young people that engage with these crucial ideas and topics.
