European Movement Albania(EMA)
This project proposes a strategic solution to the problem faced by Albanian immigrants when returning to their home countries .As these people come back with a luggage of broken dreams, fear of unemployment in one side but ideas, skills and sometimes even capital they need orientation, information and support to urge them reintegrate into the society and develop entrepreneurial projects.
Albania is facing a concerning increase in the number of Albanian asylum seekers driven to leave by economic reasons towards Germany and other EU countries. First, this has caused problems for the image of our country, and at the same time to already exhausted hosting capacities in EU countries. Secondly, after their return these people feel incapable to reintegrate, to get informed of opportunities, to generate ideas, to improve their skills and be employed.
A result of our project would be the establishment of the Nest of Returned Migrants with a luggage full of ideas, who will work toward Entrepreneurship into their home countries. Taking care of our own people, will directly impact in the decreased number of asylum seekers and less burden to EU countries, who are dealing with people coming from war zones. Upgraded knowledge and skills of the returnees will directly affect their employment
1)Create a Database of returned migrants forced and voluntarily as well(Ministry of Internal Affairs does not record the latter one)2) Through a Help Desk, we will provide information sessions to these citizens and regroup them in:a) people who need basic courses to vocational education by directing them to Directorates of Vocational Education in Albania- in partnership with local offices as well b)migrants who obtain skills and ideas but need on hands support dealing with the formalities and procedures (legal, financial, administrative, etc.)3) Establishment of the Nest of Returned Migrants who will be trained about Entrepreneurship Managerial skills. 4)Open hours –Success Stories of Entrepreneurs 5) Facilitate returnee’s efforts to apply for Entrepreneurship and start-up grants
We target returned migrants (returned forcefully or voluntarily) from different regions in Albania. Through a comprehensive approach, we expect to train a number of 80-100 returnees
As a candidate country inspiring to become an EU member, Albania needs to reflect, take more responsibility of our own returned citizens, before asking help to Europe. We need an immediate action to this acute problem. In national level, different from other organizations or institutions that offer these trainings and consultancy, we will provide it free of charge. If our project will result successful, we will expand and share it with partner organisations to other countries in Western Balkans
