Idea pitch

Our general objectives are to strengthen the European citizens’ sense of informal education and the importance of cultural values at sporting activities, at training and competitions. Our mission is to create an Educational web or native mobile app to be used by participants to understand the basic cultural concepts. The goal is to produce and deliver target interactive lessons with in-app features to strengthen intercultural dialogue.

Where will your idea take place?

Ljubljana, Barcelona, Vicenza / Slovenia, Spain, Italy

Why does Europe need your idea?

We’re focusing whole idea around the concepts & believes to create an interactive lessons that can be used to promote cultural values at sport activities. Our challenge is to define learning methods to provide a reflection or feedback on decisions/thoughts made by participants before/after the training or competition. Lessons about values such as companionship, diligence, humility, gratitude, friendship, perseverance, sacrifice, etc.

What is your impact?

Outcome of the project is a working app with a few interactive lessons for selected groups. App is meant to be used by sport organizations and its members who should be able to understand and compare their concepts with their peers. In one year after the launch we want to scale the usage and provide assistance to produce new lessons on the platform. Each lesson should help organization to promote values within its members.

How do you get there?

Preparations: For both aspects of the app (content and technology) there have been informal presentations of the idea to see the interest for cooperating in such a project on national/international level. 1. Selection of the project team members; 3-5 people with international expertise with different cultural background that have been working in multicultural environment, worked with youth, students and adults 2. Define the milestones and product – app, technology, learning methods and type of interactive lessons. 3. Testing phase with selected organizations. 4. Launch. 5. Promotion, presentations, dissemination and networking. 6. Follow up and on boarding new lessons and organizations.

What is your story?

-

Who are you doing it for?

At the moment there is a preliminary interest from stakeholders - partner’s organizations and experts – beneficiaries who have knowledge and skills to cooperate in the development or dissemination phase. Our target group are sport organizations and coaches and trainers who run the programmes for kids, youth families and adults. In testing phase we tend to select few organizations that will help us to develop examples and get feedback from first users before we launch the app.

What makes your idea stand apart?

I would say that the main difference is that we are working on project which needs extensive experiences from different sectors to develop and deliver the product after the 9 months. Our European partners can help us to produce the content and to make the project successful. Idea is somehow different in a way that we tend to use sport events as the basis to deliver content through the app to target audience and help them to better understand their cultural values & personal believes.

All advices and comments from mentors and likely minded people would be helpful in all steps of the project. In the beginning we would be grateful to have independent views about our overall goals and approaches.
