Hey!We aren’t selling the next big product you are waiting to buy.We are promoting “the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world”(you know who quoted this without googleing it):EDUCATION! It doesn’t seem as an attractive topic but we know IT HAS changed lives of people&communities, due to more aware&active citizens. We need to document&share these SimpleSpecialStories all over Europe and make them deeply heard,as education CAN be exciting and has the power to make Europe a better place
Education(+its innovation) is a worldwide issue.Somewhere it is not even accessible to everyone,in some place it needs to be reformed or revolutionised,in many places it is still in old fashioned school systems. We KNOW that education/learning can be an enjoyable,life-changing experience anywhere. Our circle of non-formal-education users is a small one.Our challenge: to spread our stories,to introduce unusual educational practices in usual settings,to be recognised as doers who innovate education
We are working on improving quality in youth work, education and learning in general, but also in finding a way to convey the European values in an understandable, easy-to-grasp and easy-to-connect message, that speaks beyond the sometimes dry European policies, documents, statistics and regulations. We aim to transfer the real learning achievements and the seeds of attitude changes that are planted within European learning projects to the outer world, to European citizens of all sorts
Our project will be a success if in a year from now we can present a documentary that people will enjoy watching and discover that quality within European learning projects is possible and true.
True stories, people, quality and we want Europe to know about it.Simple steps to success:
-Seeking potential stories for our collection. This will happen within organised learning experiences as trainings but also by inviting people to tell their story.
-Once stories are collected they will be documented in film, writing, animation or other means which will build up the storyboard of our documentary.Experts will support us in the scenario.
-During the process, a web page will be set up for audience to share stories
-Production of the documentary and dissemination using online platforms
With the products we plan to create we aim to reach facilitators of learning (non formal/ formal/ teachers/trainers/youth workers), learners of different profiles (youth, adults, young leaders, etc), but the open public as well, the future citizens involved in the future of Europe, those who need to understand Europe, its potential and traps, so as to keep building on its positive aspects, by becoming aware of the benefits within its educational projects that can be taken forward and enhanced
Every Story, told in an authentic way, from real experiences, brings wonders&surprising elements, because every story is valuable, unique, special. To record and spread the personal learning/educational path,as a tool of good educational practice is unconventional, simply because as far as we know, there aren’t documentaries about these specific learning processes.Sharing stories,as simple & special as that.Positive change mostly comes from ordinary people,if you let them share their SimpleSpecialStory

To tell a story you need an audience. You also need a storyteller with the ability to grasp attention with simple words. Collecting SimpleSpecialStories will involve an already existing community of Educators in the international context (our colleagues and partners in European educational projects).Actually they will be both our source and our target group, within which we will seek storytellers. They will also act as audience that will disseminate our outcomes in wider contexts
