Idea pitch

European Animation Lab – is a network and platform that will unite talented young people, multipliers, trainers, from Georgia and other European countries.
As a result of their common workshops on the topic of European Integration, the participants will create short animation movies, which will promote the values of liberal democracy and will advocate European way of life. These animations will be used as an educational tool not only in Georgia but also in Eastern European countries.

Where will your idea take place?

Why does Europe need your idea?

Georgia is now implementing European Association Agreement and Visa Liberalization. Society and especially youth are starting to understand the importance and opportunities of EU integration. But the Post Soviet nostalgia still exists in some social groups (in adults) that are influential to youth opinion. At the same time there is lack of information focused on the awareness rising on sexy European way of life. This becomes a serious obstacle for youth which soon will join EU family.

What is your impact?

We will create variety of animations that will be focused on the awareness rising on European way of life, the values, democratic governing and strengthen societies European choice. The network, formed as a result of common work of project international group will be an additional opportunity for realization of new ideas in the future, and also will serve as a mechanism to forge closer ties between Georgian and Eastern European youth.

How do you get there?

For 3 years we've been working on the creation of educational animations, which aim to promote concepts of Human rights and diversity among youth.
1) In the frame of EAL series of workshops by European experts will be provided to young animators, students of art schools. The workshops will be dedicated to the importance and practical effects of European values. They also will include interactive lectures, games, exercises, team-building activities.
2) As a result of workshops five educational animations (Good governance, environment, discrimination "Why Europe?" "What makes us Europeans?")will be created and spread through educational networks and local movie theaters.
3) The network, formed as a result of common work of project international group will continue to realize new ideas.

What is your story?

Who are you doing it for?

Talented young people, students of art schools, animators, multipliers, educators, society in general.

What makes your idea stand apart?

This idea is inspired by project HUMRA, which is implementing together with other partner organizations for three years. During this period we gained enormous experience in creating animations dedicated to “Human Rights” issues. It will be a cornerstone for the future successes of EAL. If, after this bold statement you will judge us for lack of elementary modesty, you certainly have to visit our project web-site: or simply this:
