Projektgruppe Berlin Anwälte ohne Grenzen e.V.
Through objective legal information and counseling we are planning to adress the growing process of xenophobia and desintegration close to one of Europes most diverse capital Berlin - in Brandenburg. By adressing areas in Germany that young people usually don´t choose to live in, we try to prevent that Europe segretes into many little islands instead of sticking together.
Berlin / Brandenburg, Germany
The main problem we see nowadays is the creeping desintegration in Europe. Many countries are afraid of what the migration means to them, boarders are closed and countries go back to focusing on their national believes rather than on the European idea. The same developments can be found within the German society - especially in areas where social engagement is low.
We are aiming for creating tolerance and working on a feeling of solidarity and coherence so that Europe does not break into pieces.
We are planning to work in cooperation with an recently opened accomendation center for asylum seekers in Brandenburg. Brandenburg is lacking a solid structure of NGOs that provide free legal couseling for asylum seekers. In consequence people don´t know their rights and how to get assistance. On the other hand we want to include the local residents by informing them about the asylum procedure and the rights that asylum seekers have. We are planning to build up a network of lawyers that give talks in german but also other languages. In the future we are planning to expand to other reception centers.
Asylum seekers and local residents
We are adressing this multifacated problem not only from one side. We are trying to inform all different actors to the same extend.
