Youth Club for Intercultural Dialogue, Democracy and Peace
Hate speech is one of main challenges in our societies. This project will gather youngsters from Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine,Poland, Lithuania for training youngsters What hate speech is; how to recognize it; how to report it and how to combat against it using tool Photography. This project fully reflects with the No Hate Speech Campaign of the Council of Europe
Bring together Youth from different countries, Youngsters will share experience and professional trainers will assist them in learning details and negative influence of Hate Speech and Mechanisms how to combat against it. Besides the participants will have a task to make photo the expressions of Hate Speech in the city. On the last day we will organize an Exhibition in the Centre of Yerevan. Youngsters and other people will raise their knowledge about the Negative influence of Hate Speech.
Aim of our project is to educate young people how to fight against Hate Speech via Intercultural Dialogue and Photography, To train young people What is hate speech, how to recognize it and how to fight against it via methods of non-formal education, To spread information on "fighting against hate speech" to wide audience via exhibition of comics and photography.
The Participants will be selected via Open Call. The project team will be consists of 6 person /1 person from each country/. Participants will come to Armenia on 10 of July. From 11 to 16 of July there will be the training course. On 17 of July there will take place a Photo Exhibition in the Centre of Yerevan. The project will be evaluated by participants on 19 of July and from 20 of July to 20 of August it will be evaluated by the Project Team.
Youngsters living in EU member countries are more or less educated concerning to hate speech problem. The situation is catastrophic in Eastern partnership countries. The tools Comics and Photography will be competent for training huge number of people to combat against Hate Speech.
The specific aspect of our project is connected with the xenophobia, which we have now in Europe. By this project we would like to prepare hate fighters to mutually combat against the Hate Speech.
