School No.10 in the city of Sumy
We want to offer an idea of the formation of public opinion of Ukrainian citizens on the intolerance to corruption at an early school age. To achieve this result, we plan to develop a program in the form of games (poems, drawings, video game, etc.), which will help form in minds of children a negative attitude towards the manifestation of corruption in the society. In their turn, the children will influence the minds of their parents and their intolerance towards the corruption in the society.
Corruption is a widespread and growing problem in Ukrainian society. In 2015’s Transparency International Corruption Perceptions Index Ukraine was ranked 130th out of the 160 countries investigated. Ukrainian economy fails to develop due to endemic corruption. Ukraine needs reforms and new effective strategies to combat corruption, because existing methods fail. We offer an innovative approach based on the formation of a negative attitude towards corruption since the early age.
Legal consciousness of people will change and lead to the decrease in corruption. After testing and implementation of project results in Ukraine, it will be possible to implement the project in the European Union.
We will develop guidelines for classes with children (4-6 years old) at preschool educational institutions. They are aimed at the children’s negative attitude towards corruption. These guidelines will offer a set of descriptive materials based on characters from cartoons (drawings, poems, games, computer game, riddles, tales, etc.), which will be recommended to be implemented in the form of games. There will present these guidelines to the representatives of the teaching staff of pre-school educational institutions. The result of an innovative project will be the best drawing on the topic of the project at pre-school competition. The best drawings will be posted on billboards with authors’ photos as a visual agitation aimed at forming intolerance to corruption in the minds of parents.
Pre-school educational institutions.
In Ukraine, there are many ideas aimed at combating corruption, but unfortunately, there are no results. This is due to the fact that corruption is perceived by Ukrainians as a normal thing. Our innovative project differs from other ideas by its target group. It is aimed at pre-school pupils. We want to fight corruption by creating a new generation of Ukrainians, who from an early age will consider any corruption unacceptable.
