Microspace urban gardens as community spaces for ecotourism
http://gradinadingurasiriului.blogspot.ro/
Romania
At the south-east periphery of Bucharest is a 400m square garden where art, ecotourism, permaculture and worldwide community gathers. The space is open to free hosting for travelers of any nationality/age/gender and aim to empower people trough healthy practices, arts and events.
Bucharest, Romania
We are turning the vicious circle of consumerism into a virtuous circle of sustainable individuals. That includes adding value trough art and open culture, DIT & DIY workshops, become healthy by growing your own food, change equality into equity, support low budget travelers and cultural exchange as a basis for holistic awareness as a tool for ecological knowledge.
The garden already hosted many couchsurfers, events(performances, workshops, movie projections and cook together days, mothers&kids gatherings) and is producing healthy food since 2013.As it grows,we aim to buid a fence and get some basic utilities ( a toilet, electricity grid connection, drinkable water) also designing the community studio-gallery, a space where emerging & wannabe artists all-over the world can exhibit and work together, also a great space for mama artists and their kids.
Creating monthly events, growing the community around by unconditional help and mutual exchange. Decentralize culture and being the change, creating tools for others to become sustainable as well.

Work at home moms, families, emerging & wannabe artists, students and young people, cultural operators ,low budget travelers, ecoactivists and small initiatives for well-being and sustainability, permaculture communities.
There are many gardens as community spaces around Europe, also in Bucharest are few. But none of them has our compressed complexity that proves small urban spaces, even peripheral, can create value and awareness, can connect and grow such a diversity of practices and cultural backgrounds.
