"Contribution to women and children" NGO.
The project “Armenian handmade carpets” is giving a chance to refugees to learn a new profession and start their own household business, which will be an art-therapy for them and will help them to overcome a migration depression and to help the integration with the new society.
Because of the ongoing war in Syria thousands of refugees immigrated to Armenia, which caused a lot of problems in our little country where we have very high unemployment level.
This project will be an art-therapy for the immigrant and will help them to overcome a migration depression and to help the integration with the new society.
Our goal is to contribute the reduction of an unemployment level and the solution of socio-economic issues through “handmade carpets” in all the countries where there are migrant women and children, so they can be protected from trafficking.
We have working experience and we have already done such a project for young women, but only in smaller scale because we didn’t have enough money. And if we receive a financial support we will rent a place, invite carpet-makers, buy special equipments and then we will organize workshops to teach the migrants a new profession which will help them to start their own business.
We will invite photographer /camera man/ and we will record our workshops and then upload it to YouTube so the migrants in Europe could also learn.
Our target groups will be migrants from the Syria and local people. They will learn together in 9 months how to make carpets and by spending some time together they will make friend which will make easier the integration of migrants.
Our project can be an art-therapy for refugees in Europe and will help women and children to overcome the depression caused by integration.
