In a specially-equipped place will occur: workshops, debates, Euro Club, English Club, intellectual games, master classes, meetings with interesting people, Books Club, Debating Club, a meeting place for NGOs and more.

Where will your idea take place?

Sambir, Ukraine

Why does Europe need your idea?

The problem is the low social activity of young people because of the lack of places for active exchange of ideas, intellectual conducting meetings using creative methods and approaches. In such circumstances, young people have no opportunities to develop their skills and can not find adherents. They either leave the city or spend time aimlessly and alcohol abuse. In the absence of an active community in city there is no social initiatives, public control and active movement for development.

What is your impact?

Solving this problem will be creation of the "Youth Space" –intended and adapted surroundings to the cultural and intellectual exchange, implementation of ideas to solve local problems. The young people will meet regularly to generate new ideas and implement them together. They will become the young elite of the city and will participate in the cultural life of the city. The number projects will increase. The level of alcohol abuse will decrease. The youth cross-border cooperation will improve.

How do you get there?

The project involves the creation of conditions for development and cultural exchange of young people. Premises arrangement, selection of team, development events program and its implementation are provided for this. Stages of the project:
1)Project personnel recruitment
2) Rent and accommodation facilities
3) Creation of a plan for 1 year
4) information campaign on the activities of the Youth Space
5) Making Youth space (buying chairs, tables, office supplies)
6) Development, printing and distribution of leaflets about the possibilities the Youth Space
7) The official event of opening the Youth Space
8) Conducting presentations at organizations and institutions
9) Signing of agreement on cooperation between NGOs
10) Daily work of Youth Spaces, weekly events

What is your story?

-

Who are you doing it for?

The target group is the community town of Sambor, Sambir district, Stary Sambir district and, such as young people under 14-35 years, students from local schools, high schools, college students, art groups, informal groups of young people. The stakeholders are local authorities, educational institutions and NGOs of the city.

What makes your idea stand apart?

Our idea will be implemented in a small town, but will have a big effect. Due to space for the intellectual and cultural exchange will be created a platform for the development of civic engagement and international cooperation. We offer to invest in young people - to create the possibility of increasing the level of their education and culture, synergy among youth. It will be the epicenter of youth and social movements that could become a prototype for other cities.
