An interdisciplinary and intercultural art project that shows the face of the NEW Europe by expressing diversity in a creative and positive way through art. Musicians collaborate with dancers, painters and video artists and experiment with new forms of artistic expressions.
Oldenburg, Deutschland
Our city Oldenburg is a small reflection of the Europe. The multicultural society is already a fascinating reality. Here live people of different nationalities, many of them had to flee from the Non-European countries. They bring various life experiences and cultural resources. Besides their skills they contribute their huge artistic potential. This can encourage interesting synergy effects and play a positive role in the development of the society. In Our project, we want to display this potential as an important source for cultural development, and act as a small model of big Europe. If more people in Europe would deal with the diversity as we desire to, it would be a progress and a chance for the whole Europe.
When artists enrich and complement one another with their skills and ideas and their cooperation will show manifest results.
Whenever entirely unpredictable and fascinating art experiences result from this kind of collaboration.
When we manage to produce different art products to at least five compositions, which can be presented to the wide audience.
When some new interdisciplinary formations occur which in the best case sustain in the future and enrich the cultural life
When our multicultural network of artists expands.
The musicians exchange their ideas, build working groups and together create music, which can be a blend of different stylistics and languages. The compositions will be arranged, performed and recorded.
The next phase implies an interdisciplinary creative process. The music will be presented to the other artists of different branches. They too build new groups in order to let themselves inspire by the music and develop their own artistic expressions to those compositions. Experimental choreography, different forms of stage performances, visual and installation arts and video art emerge at this level. Hereby, the same musical basis can inspire various creations, a video clip, a dance performance, a picture.
Finally, the results of these artistic processes will be presented in a festival.
