Idea Sketch

Idea pitch

In the era of rampant financialization of every corner of our lives, it is crucial to redefine the values that support humanity. For a revitalization of democratic communication and political consciousness in Europe, we propose a voice guided Mind Video Game targeting future diplomats. There we will learn to create democracy and unity first of all within oneself, by resolving conflict and contradictions of contemporary life in our inner parliament (logic self, subconscious self, ego self etc.)

Where will your idea take place?

Thessaloniki, Greece, South-East Europe
Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany
Berlin, Germany

Why does Europe need your idea?

We have built a well-argumented critique about all wrong. It is time to take the next step: to grow out of blame and drama into taking meaningful action with immense kindness and empathy for all earlier steps. We need to realise that the stage is ours, but we need to carry its responsibility.

What is your impact?

An empowerment of future diplomats in the shaping of our common reality. By understanding the human psyche, we can better cope with reasons of disunion between nations, beyond the limited view of current political practices. We need to contradict that economy, politics & inner balance are incompatib

How do you get there?

10 days exchange in Thessaloniki, 30 participants: Model United Nations (MUN) leaders from all EU zone. We will perform conflict resolution simulations before and after the MVG sessions in order to measure the impact. The participants will commit to share the training, thus creating a ripple effect in their countries. A video artwork from the project will be shown in festivals and exhibitions.

What is your story?

We are dedicated in what we call Art as Simulation: in interdisciplinary projects with various participants, through dialogue and building prototypes in a DIY manner, we end up testing alternatives for economic, pedagogic and political institutions, expanding the boundaries of our common reality.

Who are you doing it for?

MUN plays an important role in politics; it is the tool for teaching diplomatic discipline to future diplomats, who then reproduce the same system, trapped in a world of semantics, formalities, and obsolete rules. The world will change only if we take a step back and change our communication.

What do you need from the Advocate Europe community?

The Mind Video Game training is a tool that can serve different projects and purposes: the idea is that self-development helps community development. Others could adapt the training to their projects and we could benefit from having the experience of its different applications.
