MoC is an interdisciplinary stage for researching and displaying a virtual collection of clandestine transactions outside officially recognized channels; rumors, scandals, gossip that swirl around those cryptic relations. While creating online presence MoC develops its physical appearance in different geographical contexts and exhibition formats. By cross-pollinating notions of corruption, museum and contemporaneity, project`s vision is to move corruption from real life into a museum setting.

We see politics as a way to stimulate sociability through participation. We aim to strengthen democracy in Europe by establishing reliable and impactful institution based on small successes towards long term change. By means of contemporary museology MoC identifies common patterns of corruption as a globalized concept despite them being a category of transgression of boundaries particularly between the public and the private(from individuals moral inability to put community wellbeing above own interest, to public office abuse). We also aim to grasp the ever eliding definitions of corruption by gathering under a single banner policies and social movements that pursue divergent, even irreconcilable, ends.
In a year from now MoC infrastructure and network will be improved and strengthened.
Website will be designed and programmed according to the latest standards. Script for an online game Conflict of Interest will be developed. Through efficient programming MoC will earn and solidify confidence of general audience and facilitate open debate about frustration stemming from corruption. The promotion of such social relationships that will lead to generation of alternative political communities is another desired project outcome.
The program will consist of 2 activity groups:

People in the Balkans perceive human nature as prone to corruption. Europe`s perception of the Balkans does not differ much. It is precisely because of this perception of the Balkans as immanently corrupt that this initiative should originate from the Balkans. MoC mission is to create a zone of visibility for different forms and shapes of corruption in order to, paradoxically, promote justice, common good and purity. MoC aims to use art to intervene in corruptive practices because in corruption based societies such challenges can yield results. It would be a professional challenge to restore trust in the integrity of institutions and democratic mechanisms by treating critically the phenomenon of corruption. By bridging the gap between law and ethics MoC emphasizes individual vs systemic.
MoC targets general audience while caring for advancing participation of young audiences through social events using diverse exhibition formats, digital tools and gamification.
Main beneficiaries are cultural workers and artists who will strengthen their skills for appropriating dark legacy. In collaboration with professionals from a variety of fields, linguists, sociologists, philosophers… MoC will invite decision makers and government officials to get involved. All content and activities will be approved by the Board of Trustees.
MoC embodies alternative political imagination. Its focus on the ethical aspects and effects of corruption is applicable in any context liable to corruption. MoC does not represent corruption, it intervenes in it. MoC is envisioned around the idea how abstract concepts—like corruption—are lived out in particular instantiations. MoC interrogate the social life of corruption as a concept-in-the-world that simultaneously transforms—and is transformed by—the particular social worlds in which it finds fertile soil. MoC treats corruption and anti-corruption not as two discrete things but, rather, as one complex phenomenon.
