The Model Federal European Union is an innovative and intense simulation of the functioning of reformed European institutions, according to an advanced federal model. Around 150 young people from everywhere in Europe will gather to discuss and take binding decisions for a better, more democratic and more efficient European system. Come and engage with us to test the future of European democracy !

The project aims at promoting a new vision for European institutions in the coming years, whose new functioning will be embodied by youth in action. We want to raise awareness among young European citizens, and for once let them build our future Union in a down-top process, taking binding decisions.
A successful Model of Federal EU relies on gathering around 150 young people coming from different social backgrounds and from many different countries in Europe, who will be fully aware of the democratic changes a Federal Union can bring, and able to popularize at home the idea of a federal system.
To reach our goal, we figured out to work on the concept and the method, which will be reflected in purpose to simulate a future situation. It will answers to the question : what would happened if the European Union was a federation ? To get there, we will be helped by master student, and professors from the Strasbourg University. Furthermore, we will base the scenario of this event on the content of the Citizens’ constitution written during the European Youth Convention we organised last march.
This project is tremendously important for our organization, as the main focus of JEF France is to advocate for a federal European Union that would be closer to its citizens, more democratic, thanks to stronger solidarity and transparency. This idea is the continuation of our commitment to the EU.
Young people from 16 to 35 years old, coming from the most diverse countries in the EU and in the neighboring countries and from different social backgrounds. This is our first audience because they represent the next generation of European actors and leaders, which will build the future of Europe.
We would like to receive advice on if the project is feasible and if the deadlines are not to short. We also would like some comments on our ideas, if the are relevants and in the perspective of the same comune goal for the project. And finaly, if someone have an idea to pursue or to go further.
