Culture Goes Europe (CGE) - Soziokulturelle Initiative Erfurt e.V.
If you are not from glorious land of Thuringia, you might have not heard of secret battles some brave partizans are fighting in Thuringia forest. The truth is… they are local initiatives starving for visibility, struggling for attention and participation in local community. To give them a hand, we came up with the idea of interactive mapping platform, which will enable various organisations in Thuringia to become more visible & accessible and help users “navigate” through the variety of offers.
Thuringian region (7 towns): Eisenach, Erfurt, Weimar, Jena, Nordhausen, Bad Langensalza, Illmenau.
The map is the visual evidence of democracy-in-action. It will show positive, alive examples of initiatives in Thuringia, which share and promote democracy values. Individual, community, governmental projects on the platform will invite people to join them, make a contribution in local community.
People will be more engaged into social life. The number of event, supporters will increase. Users will add new “magic” points on a map. Deep intercultural, intersectoral communication.
Clear visibility of local initiatives. Governmental sector will use this tool to cooperate with activists.
A1. Advanced Planning meeting. Active interested citizens of Thuringia create a working plan, distribute the tasks.

A3. Partners meeting. Sharing results, editions.
A4. Data analysis. Implementing the data into a digital map.
A5. Create the draft web-portal to put the map online.
A6. Testing Meeting. Testing the draft platform, redesign/modernization.
A7. Presentation of the "Learning Cities”. Dissemination of the project.
Often people dream about already existing idea, which are hidden under the corner. We saw how lack of information creates a misunderstanding. That is why we want to pin the leaning opportunities in Thuringia and let citizens dream with other active local actors. Besides, we are also big dreamers ;)
Citizens, who are not involve in initiatives (young families, single people, youth, tourists), but they are looking for educational/entertainment offers.
Activists, who are looking for partnership, stakeholders.
Students, who are searching opportunities for self-development.
