Idea pitch

We want to bring learning back to communities and to make curiosity a normal state by asking why do we learn?

Where will your idea take place?

Barcelona, Spain,, Cluj Napoca, Romania, Sinzig, Germany

Why does Europe need your idea?

We believe learning belongs to the people and by bringing it in the streets we encourage active citizenship and social cohesion.

Increased collaboration:
Social work: international youth work, social work at school, youth centers
Arts: Artists, Museums, alternative arts spaces.
Networking and collaboration between main actors in on traditional education for empowerment, tools and good practices exchange and creation of new processes.

Innovative spaces:
Social spaces: markets, squares, restaurants, cultural, cafés, public building.

Recognition of non formal education:
Education: alternative non traditional education (institutions and informal grassroot initiatives), bridging to formal education

Community Empowerment and Cohesion

What is your impact?

LED aims to impact European Society through learning and curiosity. Bringing learning to society in diverse environments as an engaging and playful process and enhancing active citizenship through critical and creative thinking through:
Creating non traditional learning opportunities in formal environments like schools, museums

Bringing together a network of stakeholders from formal and non formal education with active social workers, artists and creative minds.

Bridging non formal and non traditional education with the formal system.

Giving power to the creative, playful and artistic side of education.

Researching about learning environments design between practitioners and users.

Mainstreaming non traditional education and non formal learning.

How do you get there?

We want to bring learning to society through:
Active study visits to non traditional learning environments; Learning with them and implementing learning together.

Including a network meeting between all institutions involved (cofunded).

Creative multidisciplinary residences for educators, social workers and creative minds.

Including an open learning event with all stakeholders.
Quantitative and qualitative research through survey and interviews.

Learning opportunities in non traditional learning spaces.

Activities in formal educational settings using non formal methodologies.
