Idea pitch

Taking part in a historical reenactment is a wonderful way to enrich your everyday life with emotions, impressions, new experiences and skills. Gathering people in such communities in reality not in the internet is especially relevant to small industrial cities and towns.

Where will your idea take place?

Borisov, Belarus, Ruhr area, Germany

Why does Europe need your idea?

We are sure that nowadays in the era of “living in network” highlighting true opportunities of real life becomes more and more important. Everyone can afford it regardless of dwelling place, age, social status, profession and other peculiarities. And this enhances life quality. We have had firsthand knowledge of this and now would like to find allies in the region of Europe which we are hardly acquainted with (as well as they are hardly acquainted with ours). It will be useful communication for both parties that will influence positively on cultural relations between creative initiatives in European provinces.

What is your impact?

The aim of our project is establishing contacts and sharing experience with non-profit non-governmental creative organizations in small cities and towns of North Rhine-Westphalia working in cultural and historical sphere and implementing social projects. We would like to show our activities to our colleagues and get to know how creative initiatives appear and legalize in other regions; what the fundraising strategies of cultural and social projects are; how government and private sector take part in funding the events; get acquainted with work and projects of provincial museums and galleries, which gather creative public. About 16 people from both sides will take part in the journey. All in the project will cover not less than one thousand participants. Publication material will be made.
