The project is musical contest for musicians/music groups from all European countries. Subject of the contest is an original music composition inspired by Anthem of Europe „Ode to Joy“ by Ludwig van Beethoven with ethnic musical characteristics of each participant country.
With its historical continuity and duration European values inevitably had a mutual influence, and so drifted from individual cultures of the nations which are European integral part of. Preservation of the cultural identity of each European nation through music and music tradition, seen through the eyes of modern man, creates opportunities for new joins and links that will breathe new life to European heritage. Selecting the "Ode to Joy" as an musical inspiration it is indirectly propagates the message it contains: unity in diversity as an ideals and values of the united Europe. The legacy of the current Europe is based on diversity of traditions, cultures and languages. Motivation to preserve identities of European nations creates the possibility of a "richer" Europe of the future.
Publishing of the compositions at Youtube channel will allow the wider European public to be more familiar with the musical characteristics of the different European nations which are now processed on modern and contemporary way.Contact of finalists at the workshop will lead to analysis of the compositions and consideration of our differences and especially our similarities,as well as the exchange of ideas,creation of new ideas,cooperation and new projects.The workshop will include both finalists and jury members,among which are composers and music producers, so it opens up possibilities for broader cooperation and creative and fresh ideas. The relevant web page will be launched after the workshop with all recieved compositions and with conclusions and results of the workshop.
