When was the last time you really let yourself play?
KNOT Kollektiv finds inspiration in contemporary dance, circus and theatre, especially activism and a desire to give art a new space in modern society. They are passionate about inclusive, experiential art which showcases talent and offers entertainment while also giving the audience a chance to engage physically in the work and share in the experience of the performance.

In our modern world the public of today is used to observe everything out of the cair watching television or reading the newspaper. Information is running but only one direction. What if the public would react on informations and started to take resposebility of what's happening around us?
People who took part in our performances will feel more free in their bodys, which is the first step to be free in there minds. Peaple will be more willing to react on events and will take a more meaningfull part in society.
We are stimulating the audience to play with us using our bodylanguage and their subcocious disire to be a playful child. We are not aiming to change the world with our performance, but we want to remind the people that they have the capability to act.
As a pysical performer I felt empty and meaningless. The theatres are empty and the only visiters are the ones who want to fade out reality and be entertained. My mission is to change the perspective on pysical art and give it more perpose and sense to what we share with the audience.
We are performing in public spaces, which can be a cafe, restaurant or the street but also every other place. We are welcomes public of all ages, beliefs and abilities to come together in this playground and to reimagine how the body can exist in our world.
We would love to hear how people respond to the idea that creative physicality can have an impact on the world in general. Is this something you can relate to? We would also like to know what comes to mind visually after reading this? Is there something you can help us improve upon?
