We will engage dozens of our campaign partners and their national members into this action. Our core group includes about 10 NGOs from diff. fields.

When the European project is shaking, the next EP elections can be a turning point. Building on our cross-sectoral European campaign on sustainability and the EU budget, we will engage Europeans through low entry point communication methods and help them to get informed about election manifestos with a new online tool. We will also encourage people to send their opinion about the EU and its future to the candidates, and we will make sure that they receive and consider for their campaign.

Where will your idea take place?

Online campaign in all 27 EU Member States in the social media through partners portals.

Why does Europe need your idea?

As proved by Brexit and euroscepticism in Europe, there are many misconceptions about the EU and how it affects our life. This also prevents many to vote in the EP elections. We aim to engage and inform people and influence the candidates at the same time. They should not exist in parallel universes

What is your impact?

Europeans will be more active and better informed during the EP election campaign
Higher voter turnout
Candidates will be better informed about what people want, and shape their own programme accordingly
The next EP will more support sustainability issues

How do you get there?

1. Reaching the people in the social media by translating the campaign to topics that people care about, related to their future and their own life. We will use online quizzes, videos, visuals as entry points.
2. Informing them about election manifestos and how these relate to their own ideas and opinions with an online tool.
3. They do not like what they see in the manifestos? Engaging them through asking for comments, photos, videos and deliver to candidates and sharing with candidates.

What is your story?

Social,environmental and other organisations uniting for common goals under the auspices of sustainability is a personal dream of mine for more than 15 years.Now it is coming true within our European campaign about the future EU budget,and we also need to show to the people why all this makes sense.

Who are you doing it for?

The main target group is European voters with greater focus on youth (who more use online tools and social media), but everybody living in Europe would benefit from a greater interest and turnout at the EP elections, as well as a more progressive new EP oriented towards sustainability and democracy.
