The aim is to help female vocal bands be successful in the music sphere according to basic feminist principles.
Moscow, Russia, Glasgow, UK, Madrid, Spain -and more cities of Europe
Feminism is always important and I want to tell people of all European countries about it. We still have problems with women's rights - e.g. women can't legally make abortions in Ireland. And to talk about feminism during unusual music festival is a good idea, as I suggest. This mix feminism + female vocal singing makes my idea different from others, as far as I know. If smb knows the same events - please let me know, I'll be glad to collaborate with the organizers!
I hope that more skilled female musicians with beautiful voices will be supported and it will give positive changes for such ensembles which don't want to be main stream. For those who can't ignore their own aims and plans to make music not money because of producers. For those who never agree to perform in image that shows no respect to them and all other women. I hope that ladies from different countries will collaborate and make some amazing cultural projects. Bands will visit other countries with gigs and support each other in many ways. I am sure that together we can make an event against discrimination and support feminism.
We can start right now! I make a non-commercial festival of women's polyphony in Russia and I hope some bands from all over the world will perform here. With a grant I can help them with tickets and accommodation. Grant also can help with PR. We need more articles and information everywhere about the bands and feminism - cause people in the RF don't understand what feminism is. We can explain them while making the music festival which will interest them. I'll write the best ways of collaboration when we get the list of the bands taking part in the programme. Then we can make this event in other cities of Europe.
