Idea Sketch

Idea pitch

We aim to tackle extremist ideologies and Islamophobia in Europe by organizing free 1-2 day long workshops in 5 European cities and by producing free educational online videos, interactive graphics on interreligious and intercultural dialogue, ways how to fight discrimination, combat extremism, de-radicalization of youth, causes of extremism and where they develop. Videos and graphics will be used by people who are working with youth and refugees, and activists in the field.

Where will your idea take place?

Vilnius (Lithuania), Berlin (Germany), Malmö (Sweden), Copenhagen (Denmark), Budapest (Hungary)

Why does Europe need your idea?

We address all forms of extremism and radicalization, which shakens the values of European democracy. We want to strengthen European communities and prevent radicalization of youth with the help of educational videos and offline workshops lead by and for youth workers, teachers, activists, etc.

What is your impact?

We will have a network of empowered young leaders and organizations who will have the tools and skills needed to combat extremism, identify the early signs of radicalisation of youth at risk, develop effective campaigns in their countries with which we will reach wider European society.

How do you get there?

We and our local partner organizations have been conducting workshops on combating extremism. Therefore, we have the network of experts who will create educational online videos and graphics with the help of our IT and video team, and conduct workshops. We have partners and a community of 300 young leaders across Europe.

What is your story?

I have been working within the fields of youth activism, intercultural dialogue, breaking stereotypes and prejudices, European values, active citizenship for the last 6 years. I want to see an inclusive, tolerant Europe where peoples conversations are based on love, not hate.

Who are you doing it for?

Young people who are at the risk of getting radicalized, youth workers who are in contact with youth on daily basis, such as teachers, civil society workers, academia professors.

What do you need from the Advocate Europe community?

Financial sustainability of the idea Scaling it up across Europe Effective management of the network of people and partners involved in the idea
