Europe is in need of connecting major urban areas to rural communities in a way that is according to the reality and population needs that we will be able to forecast form 2016 onwards. There are issues to tackle on this matter, since we know cities will become every time more important to civilization. We must not forget to have a permanent and necessary link to the rural areas, bringing along as much sustainability, optimization of resources and respect for the environment. If we could engage the interest of town and country citizens into something as appealing as food, then our task should be already considered a success.
This idea can reach the interest of many and become promoted due to its visibility, not only online, but on the field, where participation and care for citizens living in rural areas is mostly needed. Imagine the fact of cruising Europe with 28 sustainably fueled trucks, labeled by each european flag, making it visually a very tangible and attractive display. Stopping strategically in culturally attractive areas, dedicating extra care to remote localities where to carry out activities of interest on gastronomic heritage.
The success of this idea can be followed by video and live stream, creating online weekly program on the adventures of the Rally, as to the edition of a cookbook, benefits of which could fund the promotion and access to technology in Europe´s most needed rural areas.
1.Encourage the 28 member States to participate in this adventure. By doing this we are already rising awareness and promotion of this multilateral and multi-stakeholder initiative by participants.
2. First phase; map a trail which involves countries and where each host will design, on its own territory, the itinerary and activities according to the rural and remote areas to access.
3. 28 food trucks. Encourage european sponsors. Especially engineerings engaged in sustainable power, interested in collaborating with zero impact vehicles.
4. Second phase; human resources. Gathering an enthusiastic team for each country truck, implementing the activities.
5. Final gathering in Brussels, hosting a culturally diverse Europe willing to celebrate the achievement this rally.
