Idea Sketch

Idea pitch

The essence of the portal’s functionality could be summarized in this way: imagine a Kickstarter type page with an option to involve additional actors at the beginning or the end of the process, covering the entire process from demand to production planning. The platform helps to gather all the required participants around the project, who can eventually make the product alive and they can drive the process from planning to production.

Why does Europe need your idea?

ENVIENTA Platform democratize the hardware production and development. We want to give back the hardware production to the communities, and make possible to do it sustainable way (open source circular economy). We also want to help people to be offgrid, and independent.

What is your impact?

In a long term, open source hardware development, decentralized and sustainable production, and offgrid living could increase overall well being inside and outside of EU. We only have to make the knowledge freely available to everyone, and people can solve their own problems for themselves.

How do you get there?

The ENVIENTA Platform itself also will be open source. Anybody could join from the beginning to any phase: software design, development, etc. We don't wanted to employ full time developers, and won't force any conception. The Platform development will be a community process from the beginning. ENVIENTA platform will be a project on the ENVIENTA Platform.

What is your story?

I believe, with the ENVIENTA Platform, we can achieve great effects with relatively small amount of work. In the future, production can be localized (3D printing, DIY living places, aquaphonic gardening, etc.), and freely available, shared knowledge would be the most important thing.

Who are you doing it for?

For everybody

What do you need from the Advocate Europe community?

Any advice, feedback, idea, help is welcomed.
