Where will your idea take place?

Ukraine, Donbas region, Ivano-Frankivsk region, Odessa
region, Zaporizhia region, Kyiv city

Why does Europe need your idea?

The NGO STAN conducts four five-days workshops in different regions across Ukraine during July-November 2018 and inpower 90 youth activists by new skills in research, peace dialogue and local democracy, mediation and conflict resolution.

What is your impact?

The impact of the project is raising awareness on Human Rights among young activists and train them to exercise and promote Human Rights uniting in strong civil society networks.

How do you get there?

To educate 90 young activists from different parts of Ukraine by turning them into Human Rights Defenders through providing them with practical tools and knowledge in research studies, peaceful dialogue, local democracy, mediation and conflict resolution and peacebuilding uniting them into a strong network of activists to resolve burning human rights issues;
To build and support strengthening of the human rights defenders network in Ukraine.

What is your story?

In 2014 the organization fled Luhansk as the military conflict escalated and the security situation deteriorated. STAN has since relocated to the city of Ivano-Frankivsk on the opposite side of Ukraine, but continues to operate within their mission.

Who are you doing it for?

Our target group is youth. We want to make very mixed groups of participants therefore we will focus on various groups who are endangered to discrimination based on nationality, color of skin, religion, origin, age, sexual orientation as well as various social statues.

What do you need from the Advocate Europe community?

We would like to know if we could get to the camp for further cooperation in implementing our project.
