Idea Sketch

Idea pitch

“E.G.G. ideas” is a social art project that offers people the opportunity to propose their ideas about the amelioration of their everyday lives. A room shaped as an egg will be constructed and placed in public sphere and will operate as a think laboratory where people alone or in small groups will expose their ideas for the social, political and cultural environment they live in. Their talks will result after a semi-guided interview, will be recorded and presented as video art.

Where will your idea take place?

Athens, Greece and other European cities

Why does Europe need your idea?

Our future depends on how we vision ecological, social and political challenges.
E.G.G. sets the ground for elaboration of innovative suggestions and symbolically reflects the incubation of new ideas for European democratic societies.

What is your impact?

We fight apathy by motivating people to express themselves, share their ideas and exchange experience. The presentation of people’s ideas will redefine socio-political relations and will lead to practices that favour a more equal, democratic, inclusive and sustainable society.

How do you get there?

We will construct the “E.G.G. ideas” space and we place it in the centre of 5 European capitals. A series of questions and unfinished phrases will be addressed to the participants and their answers will be recorded on camera so as to be elaborated and presented as video art. A website will be made for this purpose and the “E.G.G. ideas” will be accessible to anyone interested.

What is your story?

The project relies on the assumption that people have few opportunities in their everyday lives to express their ideas for advocating and changing their social, political and natural environment. By creating the “E.G.G. ideas” space we tend to explore new paths of participation.

Who are you doing it for?

“E.G.G. ideas” will give step to every person who envisions a sustainable society and wants to share his/her ideas.
