Ukraine is a part of Europe, but not the member of EU yet. Klitschko Foundation tries to integrate reforms into the basic spheres of country life to become closer to the standards of EU. The education system in Ukraine is under reconstruction, the project "One world in schools" is one of the steps towards reformation. We want the Europe become a part of the life of the children who still stay far to Europe, but who are the future of Europe. Due to the situation in Ukraine, the Europe became more important to Ukrainian society. Ukraine needs to defend its Europe, is not only a geopolitical choice, but also the value-philosophical.
The small number of children from Ukraine have an opportunity to travel to Europe, through this project we will bring them closer to Europe.
The Klitschko Foundation aims to reach short and long terms impacts. Through this project we will get adopted and integrated methodology with integrated suit of 6 films (the pilot films will be focused on human rights, discrimination, diversity, refugee status and cultural dialogue) which approved by the Ministry of Education. The pilot project will cover 15 schools, 45 classes and minimum 900 children. Integration and including of the project "One world in schools" into the official study program of schools. Distribution the methods and materials among schools that are interested in using them.
The “People in Need” organization provides the films and toolkits, which should be translated. The Ukrainian teachers will be taught by the OWIS experts form Czech Republic. The trained teachers will adopt and integrate the toolkits based on Ukrainian cultural specifics and needs. The adopted toolkit will be implemented in the 45 pilot schools. After piloting the program in the 45 schools the project will be widen to another schools around Ukraine.
