What is democracy for people in Germany, Greece or Georgia?
Democracy through ART project will show how common people perceive democracy in their countries by holding photo exhibitions both online and offline. Due to the large cultural centres networks, the project will go viral and empower many to take pictures of inequality or injustice to speak out because this is their country and their democracy which should be protected.

The project impact is engagement of people from EU and EU Neighbouring countries (cultural centre networks in particular) into the dialogue with their local governments through art in order to maintain or improve sustainable democratic principles at all the levels – political, economic, and cultural
The project is one more step forward active citizenship in EU and EU Neighbouring countries through free artistic participation. The number of cultural centre members might increase which will make their work more sustainable.
Through cultural centre networks engagement into online photo contest and exhibitions in participant cities to draw attention to the current state of democracy in their countries, their perception of local democracy and the historic way of democracy establishment in their countries
Community meetings, mass media, cross-sectoral cooperation, dialogues with local authorities at the exhibitions
Cultural centres highlight democratic values beneficiaries consider the most vulnerable in their area
Based on Georgian way of transition to the European way of development, we are carefully observing the democratic processes in EU countries to integrate and enjoy them in Georgian reality. Democracy through ART is visible and understandable for all regardless of nation, language or religion.
Democracy through ART is intended to make common people’s voice heard by authorities and governments of their countries. The project is designed by and for common people who face undemocratic situations in their everyday life and want to make changes.
The road map for Democracy through ART can be used by other actors in their countries. Everyone can contribute to the project by sharing this initiative with their communities and friends or participating in the photo contest.
