Youth is Power NGO
The long-term TC «Delivering Democacy» is a 7 days TC with 25 young people aiming to develop Democarcy from 7 regions in all over Armenia and Artsakh/Nagorno Kharabakh, promote respect for human rights and gender equlity, to do a step forward in citizenship /civic education and inclusion of vunerable groups into those processes by using OST, NFE and other methodologies.
The main activity foresees to be in Yerevan, Armenia in http://capitalhotel.am/en/ and regions.
Democracy is a wide comprehension. With this project we touch two sufficient elements of it. First is protection of human rights, with the focus on vulnerable groups and minorities, specifically young people, women. Second element is quite correlated with the first one its gender equality, rights
25 young people/multipliers with proper knowledge on gender equality, civic education and human rights, who education intending to change attitudes and behaviors, develop Democracy, democratic competences, social inclusion and democratic citizenship by providing snowball effect. Also "i-Leaflet" etc
The following 3 methods will be used during the TC: NFE (Non-formal education) methods and compass manual will be widely used. Besides, we will use humanistic and OST (Open space technology) methods. Also, we plan to have guest speakers and experts from the UNCHR Armenia, gender studies, human and women rights international institutions, experts in CEDAW etc.
Achieving gender equality is central to the protection of human rights, and democracy enabling economic growth and sustainability. Our target group will be 25 young people from 18-35 both men and women. representatives of regional and local organizations, youth workers, trainers and young people we will not only spread light or emphasize gender inequality, human rights violation or discrimination and catch attention locally
