Idea Sketch

Idea pitch

In the past few years an increasing amount of migrants and refugees arrived in European countries. This development led to a vast number of challenges for integration. However, we believe that they offer a unknown opportunity for the European society.
We will send project ambassadors along the main migrants route to meet with them, locals and NGOs to find out which are the most fruitful projects and concepts in integration into the society.

Where will your idea take place?

Catania, Calabria, Napoli, Bologna, Torino–Italy
Nice, Lyon, Paris, Calais–France

Why does Europe need your idea?

By publishing and handing our findings to decision makers, we'll lay the groundwork for future democratic decisions and aim to contribute in the development of a democratic Europe, where no national egos nor discrimination but international cooperation, inclusiveness and diversity are highly valued.

What is your impact?

With a best practice report, outlining fruitful projects on migration. It will be handed to decision makers on a local and European level to support future decisions, give stakeholders in similar situations a perspective to deal with challenges and raise awareness among citizens.

How do you get there?

Through an interdisciplinary approach of
making of interviews,
gathering of best practices from NGOs members,
conduction of surveys from migrants/refugees and residential people of the places we will head and
making of videos and pictures
Our aim is to analyze how effectively the increased level of integration of migrants is beneficial for European Society. Our approach is different as it includes facts as well as subjective impressions, as all of those factors play a significant role

What is your story?

As members of AEGEE we support the idea of a borderless, inclusive Europe and want to contribute our part to the European society. As this issue of migration and the related challenges is omnipresent and we personally care about it, we decided to step up and actively contribute to this discussion.

Who are you doing it for?

We are doing this project for the main stakeholders involved in the integration of migrants into the society such as institutions, migrants and politicians. We want to give them a new perspective on how they can deal with current challenges by showing them best practice examples.

What do you need from the Advocate Europe community?

We would like to have feedback about how to handle such project and some hint about the evaluation of the data we can potentially gather, in order to have the best possible analysis.
