Where will your idea take place?

Lviv and Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine, Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Teqali, Georgia and Jerusalem, ISrael/Palestine

Why does Europe need your idea?

Europe is not only the region itself, but it should be seen in global point of view, Europe is a bi community surrounded with other communities, and including also diverse communities. Even with no border policies, Europe still faces challenges with the topic of the borders and walls, which should be approaches somehow on one hand, on the other hand, Europe finds itself right in the middle of main conflicts, that communities are facing. European border itself is moving, and this process affects lots of lives inside and outside of the region.

What is your impact?

We aim to increase capacity of youth workers and multipliers in the local organizations in conflicting regions, mentioned above. We aim to do this via training of trainers and developing together with them new simulation game to be used in their work with local communities. We want to change prospective on education, especially non-formal education, and make it more dynamic and effective. In addition, we want to enrich existing materials by creating handbook usable for wider range of youth workers in the border regions. Furthermore, we aim to create wider network of trainers, specialized in this tools, who will cooperate also in the future for peace building in different regions. How do you get there?

Stage one – We start with preparation together with local partners and do the needs assessment, to prepare best fitting program on Games and Art in education. In addition, we start recruitment process; based on applications we select trainers, youth workers and multipliers (20 per training).
Stage two – Our team of 3 facilitators starts the education tour to visit each country/region meeting, meeting local partners, do the Training of Trainers. Besides trainings, our team also makes photo coverage, to be used for presenting the project. Also we start blogging, where we put together materials from trainings, as well as stories from each training, introducing learning outcomes and stories from conflicting regions.
Stage 3 - We work on elaboration of the simulation Game, using final feedback
