Idea Sketch

Idea pitch

The nomadic Creative Activism Caravan is networking between the agents of change in the local communities across Europe. Traveling from commune to commune, Caravan exchanges with news, ideas and inspiration, in collaborative hands-on workshops discussing local problems, trying out tools of creative activism and encouraging political and social literacy amongst community members. We stand for interaction instead of reaction, active and participative citizenship and creativity as tool!

Where will your idea take place?

Project is nomadic, European connecting local communities from north and south, west and east.

Why does Europe need your idea?

Looking at democracy not only as a political systhem, but mainly set of values and skills, we will empower the members of local European communities: network, map shared values, give tools fpr critical thinking, together imagine the possible Europe, come up with creative ideas and do them!

Our project idea is a itinerant route through south, west, east and north Europe giving at least 10 workshops in 9 countries, each hosted by a local organization that in charge of promotion, participants and dissemination locally. Methods - group work, creative activism, nonformal education, guerilla tactics. At least 200 participants are expect to benefit from the workshops. 10.000 people are expected to benefict from the creative actions, getting to know the results of the project.

What is your story?

Maria: relation to “Las misiones pedagógicas”- during the Spanish Republicteachers, educators and artist travelled through villages, bringing culture and education to people, developing critical thinking.
Ruta: childhood memory from Baltic Road Action - proof that creative activism changes history.
