The main goal of the idea is to create a network between employers and future employees, who are refugees or asylum seekers, through an online platform and a mobile app. In addition, candidates will have the opportunity to get involved in training sessions in order for them to acquire the adequate skills and qualifications.
EU societies move closer and closer towards conservatism and populism remains on the rise. This IDEA addresses one of the major challenges that EU societies presently face; how to integrate refugees and asylum seekers into the labour markets and provide equal opportunities to everyone.
A professional who wishes to apply for a position have fast and easy access to the labour market and trainings, overcoming the bureaucratic burdens. From the other hand, employers will have direct access to a pool of skilled individuals, being able to find suitable candidates.
By creating a unique data base online platform (and a mobile application for easier access), employees will have unhindered access to available jobs or training programs in order to acquire the necessary skills which will allow them to reach their professional goals. Additionally, the employers will have access to the professional profiles of the future candidates and they will be able to post available vacancies within their businesses.
Besides the fact that there isn’t any other application and platform of its kind for the specific target group, the implementation of the above described IDEA will be the starting of a bigger and more ambitious project that will provide a holistic approach for these professionals’ inclusion.
The incipient target group of the project comprises of recognized refugees and asylum seekers that are eligible to work in the EU. In addition, the training of the persons who are expecting to obtain asylum status will help them to directly access the job markets.
