Idea Sketch

Idea pitch

The project embraces the teachers and students from all over Poland, who with the support of partners from the world of science, business and art create (in small groups) open educational resources. The method is based on cooperation and openness as well as the knowledge exchange and bonds building with the communities which do not operate in education on a daily basis. The project enhances the role of students in school in such a way that they have impact on the materials which they learn from.

Where will your idea take place?

Warszawa, Gdańsk, Radom - Poland
Koln - Germany

Why does Europe need your idea?

The project strengthens the democratic society in school and it extends to educational environment. Together, the participants of the project will create open educational resources on the basis of equality, sharing and support. Create links among the local, business and art community.

What is your impact?

The teachers participating in the project use the method of creating the open educational resources. A network of teachers has been established so they can support each other and reach for the help of people from outside of school community, therefore the teachers are not alone in their endeavors.

How do you get there?

1. Organizing 4 working meetings for 15 teachers from Poland – inviting specialist from all over the country and Europe for cooperation in order to support the teachers in the preparation of materials
2. Pilotage of materials at schools and placing the schools on OER Map
3. Materials adjustment after obtaining the students’ opinions
4. Promotion of the materials and the method of their creation by the teachers participating in the project

What is your story?

My parents used to be teachers; I remember their notes with lesson ideas, as well as their struggles with the system when they wanted to change the curriculum. From the moment I started to work in education, I have been striving to make it the most democratic and available to everyone as possible.

Who are you doing it for?

The primary and secondary school teachers, educators, students, educational environment, including parents.

What do you need from the Advocate Europe community?

How to make the project more European?
