Idea Sketch

Idea pitch

Users can log issues on the website's map, and share them on social networks. Everyone can vote for each issue and describe how they're impacted, which gives us a list of problems prioritized by order of importance for any territory. Other users can offer solutions that will be evaluated by the people impacted. Every country, city, community can then compare issues and share solutions that work. Associated to that is a standard format of citizen workshop to reach people with no internet access

Where will your idea take place?

The pilot is in Pays de Gex since it is where I live, I'm testing the citizen workshop format here

Why does Europe need your idea?

This idea would enable organizations and administrations to :
_Easily establish a road map of improvements to be made in any community ordered by their impact on the population
_It would allow citizens and private companies to participate and research solutions focusing the collective intelligence

What is your impact? will be implemented over a smaller test area, and communicated on to get a maximum of users involved. The citizen workshop format would be polished after a few iterations. Hopefully a few case studies of solutions implemented would be created to expand over a larger area.

How do you get there?

First, the goal is to get a city to help define the specs for a local authority oriented account, allowing to report and communicate on the established roadmap, and call on experts.
At the same time, launching a communication campaign and get user feedback to find what could be improved to increase participation.
Focus energy on solving 3 problems to prove that the concept works and reassure users that logging problems helps.
Generate engagement by using gamification technics, in app rewards.

What is your story?

There is a disconnect between the government and people. It's important for me to bridge that gap and get us working together. I've always wanted to help the community I live in but was limited by time because of work and couldn't find a list of problems that needed solving. Democracia creates that

Who are you doing it for?

The end goal is to connect the citizens, the private companies and the governments to work in unison. Every citizen should be able to benefit from it.
Companies can get a basic market overview and figure what problems need to be solved.
Local governments would get a list of potential solutions

What do you need from the Advocate Europe community?

I'm currently creating the specs for the local government profile, so I'd be really interested to get feedback on how they'd like to interact with citizens on the platform. Any advice for the creation of a non profit in France would also be very useful. I'm also looking for associates.
